The 55LW5600 Review -

I've had the 55LW5600 for over 3 weeks now.  It's picture is stunning thanks to LED with Dimming.   This TV has 5 big features which really make it standout considering it's price point is only around $1000

Pros:

  1. It supports 3D content from either a blu-ray 3d disc or from your cable/satellite provider.
  2. No need to buy 3D glasses for it!  The 55LW5600 comes with 4 pairs of passive 3D glasses.  Passive 3D glasses don't require batteries.
  3. Built-in Wireless!   You can watch movies and shows from online content providers like netflix, hulu, amazon and more.
55LW5600 ReviewThe wireless connection also allows you to download updates and settings to your 55LW5600.  So, if there's an issue with the software on the TV you'll be able to download a fix as soon as LG releases it.
  4. DLNA is a feature that allows you to connect the 55LW to your local network and access your pictures or music located on a computer.  We connected it to our Windows 7 PC and it plays a pretty sweet slide show of our 5000+ pictures.  Awesome for parties.
  5. Last but not least...my favorite feature...the 55LW5600 is able to convert any 2D video into a 3D video.  This works for shows, sports, movies and yes...games!  It honestly looks awesome.  Of course it's not as good as 3d Bluray disc but it's pretty darn close.
Cons:

  1. The sound is just OK.  Nothing shocking here.  Just hookup the 55LW5600 to some surround sound.  Problem solved.

If you're looking for the best 55 inch LED for the money then the Samsung UN55C6300 will give you the best bang for the buck.  UN55C6300 owners are raving about their 55 inch LED from Samsung.
Samsung's UN55C6300 is the big brother to the C5000 version and delivers some considerable features solely found in the 2010 LED series of Hdtv's. 2 huge features found on this LED are:
  • 120 Hz Refresh rate (the 5000 is just 60 hz)
  • 4 million to 1 contrast ratio (a typical HDTV only offers 50,000:1)
Those two features in concert give you a surprisingly sharp picture with very little blurring...it truly is the perfect combination for viewing sports.
So, who is the UN55C6300 for?
  • people that would like 1080p Tv at a 120 hz refresh rate (most TV’s refresh the image at 60 hz). The more the TV refreshes the display, the less blur there may be. 120 hz is especially nice for people that will watch a lot of sports and want to see a sharp picture at all times (even during lots of action).
  • folks that like a seriously razor-sharp image. A 4 million to 1 contrast ratio does just that. The resulting picture is so sharp it's almost too real. You gotta see it to believe it!
  • individuals who like to access their videos, photos and music from any networked device in the home. Just imagine accessing images and itunes from your computer right through your wall mounted LED HDTV! Yeah, that's cool.!
Have a look at several of the UN55C6300 features:
  • Screen Size: 55 in
  • Full 1080p HD resolution.
  • 4 million to 1 contrast ratio.
  • 120 Hz clear Motion Rate – which essentially refreshes the picture 120 each and every second. Average Hdtv’s basically refresh the display 60 times a second. By using a 120 HZ refresh rate programs such as high action sports appear completely smooth and never blurred. If you have not viewed sports in 120hz then you definitely have to see it to believe it.
  • ConnectShare Movie: Enables anyone to hook up a USB Memory Card or digital camera and very easily display pictures or videos right from your remote.
  • AllShare: Access audio, pictures and videos from any Pc in your home. AllShare is wonderful for presenting all your family photos or videos for events like parties.
